Here’s a thanksgiving song I wrote for our children’s choir. Jennifer Carron and Carrianne Bernatis are the singers. It uses optional (simple) handbells. It can be sung anytime during the church year, after the reading of Scripture. Deo Gratias means, “thanks be to God.”
Deo Gratias
For His Word, for His love
Deo Gratias, Deo Gratias.
For His Church, for His world,
Deo Gratias, Deo Gratias.
This is the day that the Lord has made,
with grateful hearts let us rejoice,
Let us be glad, let us enter His courts,
with grateful hearts His Name we raise.
For His Word, for His love
Deo Gratias, Deo Gratias.
For His Church, for His world,
Deo Gratias, Deo Gratias.
Thanks Be to God.
